John is a Partner in our Private Client and Commercial team. John advises on a wide range of property matters including acquisitions and disposals, large and complicated subdivisions, leasing and developments. He has a special interest in retirement villages and also the hospitality industry.

John likes to understand his clients’ needs so that he can provide accurate, practical and cost efficient advice. John works hard for his clients and goes the extra mile to ensure he meets their expectations.

John likes to be accessible to all clients and provide prompt and careful advice. For John, it’s important that clients understand what their commitments are and the associated risks. It’s also important to John that they get a “plain English” interpretation of the issues and he likes to take the time with people to help them make things as user friendly as possible. John’s clients find him approachable and friendly.

Outside of work, John spends as much time as he can with his young family, and enjoys all sports, especially rugby (both union and league).
